Senior Asset Manager

Key Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee internal team members and subcontractors conducting the operations and maintenance of the company’s solar power facilities, ensuring all revenue targets and other key performance indicators (KPI) are met or exceeded
  • Continually drive the operations and maintenance (O&M) team and operators to identify opportunities to increase revenue generation and decrease O&M costs
  • Perform performance analyses and data analytics to provide trends and mitigation strategies
  • Proactively ensure maintenance processes are organized, planned and executed in compliance with all technical, financial, commercial, safety and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure compliance by the company, subcontractors and vendors with respect to engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) as well as O&M and credit agreements
  • Act as the central point of contact for the internal legal department and external counsel on contractual matters and considerations with respect to O&M activities
  • Develop and present business cases for the improvement of operating projects
  • Ensure projects meet or exceed debt service coverage and develop corrective action plans, as necessary
  • Manage and pursue warranty claims with panel and inverter suppliers and other vendors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with lenders, joint venture partners, vendors, O&M providers and other stakeholders
  • Provide reports and brief senior management team and lenders on the status of operating projects, as required
  • International experience in O&M and Asset Management is preferred


Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of utility-scale solar plant operations
  • Experience managing the operations and maintenance of utility-scale solar plants
  • In-depth knowledge of construction techniques utilized in the development of solar plants
  • Experience managing construction and operations contracts
  • Experience managing warranty claims with panel suppliers and other technology providers
  • Solid grasp of project finance as it relates to the management of operating assets
  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering


Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Solar or renewable energy development experience
  • Experience in the design, construction and operations of utility-scale solar plants
