SkyPower Explores Solar Opportunities in Western Canada
CALGARY, CANADA – OCTOBER 4, 2012
Leaders from all facets of the Canadian solar industry travelled to the Calgary Telus Convention Centre today for the second annual solar-industry conference and trade show. SkyPower, the world’s largest developer of solar energy projects, is proud to support Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA) by being the presenting partner for the Solar West conference.
Solar energy is both the most ubiquitous and abundant energy source and enjoys more public support than any other source of energy. In order for Alberta to be competitive in the solar energy industry initiatives, strategies and incentives must be put in place for solar. The result would be a strong foundation that welcomes the creation of an established solar industry.
“At SkyPower we are excited about the opportunity in Alberta,” said Kerry Adler, President and CEO of SkyPower. “Once the foundation for solar energy is put into place, we see great potential for environmental leadership.”
With over 500 attendees and 40 exhibitors, Solar West 2013 is the largest and most influential conference for Western Canada’s promising and burgeoning solar-energy industry. The Solar West event provides a forum for business, political, and policy leaders to embrace the opportunities and analyze the challenges facing the largest energy market in Western Canada.
