SkyPower US Holdings LLC, a subsidiary of SkyPower Global (Cayman), today submitted a bid to finance, own, design, procure, construct, operate and maintain between 40 and 200 MW of solar projects on Beacon land. This utility-scale solar project will sell energy to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP). LADWP is the largest municipal water and power utility in the United States. It was established more than 100 years ago to deliver reliable, safe water and electricity to 3.8 million residents and businesses in Los Angeles.

“We are excited to have the opportunity to participate in this competitive bid process,” said SkyPower Chief Executive Officer and President Kerry Adler. “The LADWP is a leader in renewable energy procurement and distribution in the United States. Through the Beacon project, we are looking forward to supporting the LADWP with reliable solar generation to the citizens of Los Angeles.”
