SkyPower Global , an independent power producer headquartered in Canada, has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Zambia’s state-owned utility ZESCO Ltd to supply 1,000 MW of solar energy to the Southern African nation. The agreement, announced jointly by both companies in a press release, supports the Green Giant Zambia project, which aims to provide electricity to approximately 4 million households, stimulate employment opportunities, and bolster Zambia’s economy reliant on copper mining with more renewable energy.
